THEM APPLES: an evening of comedy to benefit ASGA

An evening of comedy at the tasting room, benefitting American Saltwater Guides Association

Doors 6pm/ Show 7pm

Delicious bites by Big Bad BBQ at 6pm

ABOUT THE COMICS:

Jack Lynch is a veteran of the Boston comedy scene who has toured the United States and parts of Canada, entertaining crowds with his sarcastic view of the world. Jack pokes fun at his struggle with addiction and his now long term recovery. Jack has shared the stage with Bill Burr, Billy Gardell, and Stephen Wright. Jack is also a licensed alcohol and drug counselor.

Andrew Haskell is one of New England’s most exciting up and coming stand-up comics with an irreverent view on growing up poor, being newly married, and the fact that none of us are as smart as we think we are. He was the winner of the 2022 Northeast Comic Comedy Knock-Out and is a regular at the Rhode Island Comedy Connection

Holly Johnston is an up-and-coming standup comedian from Massachusetts. Her dry, observational humor delights audiences all over the country. Holly has opened for Kevin Nealon, Nick Mullen, and Jen Fulwiler to name a few. She’s been featured on Chemistry Set at the Comedy Cellar, and she can be seen performing at clubs all over the US, including Zanies in Chicago, the Comedy Mothership, the Creek & the Cave, Cap City Comedy Club in Austin TX, and the Stand NYC. Holly also performed at South By Southwest 2023 and competed in the Boston Comedy Festival. Follow Holly on Instagram: @holly.johnston_ and YouTube: @holly.johnston

Mark McGwin has performed in clubs/rooms all over New England and has opened for Sam Tallent, Mike Recine and Colum Tyrell. He’s also the producer for Gimme Laughs, which has run a monthly comedy show in Providence, RI since 2022.

Stephan Francescone is an aspiring New England comedian who runs a monthly show in Newmarket, NH. Professional by day and oddity by night, he has more layers than an ogre.

Lucan White is an up and coming comedian who performs all over New England.

ABOUT THE BENEFICIARY:

The American Saltwater Guides Association (ASGA) is the voice of conservation for private recreational anglers, for-hire captains and fishing-related business owners.

ASGA started only six years ago with a small group of individuals who decided it was time for a change. Driven by the ethos of "Better Business Through Conservation," ASGA advocates for healthy marine resources to drive a robust economy. ASGA bases all positions on the best available science, using risk-averse management decisions to prioritize a healthy resource.

ASGA fills a critical void in the industry by providing a voice for conservation-minded fishermen nationwide, utilizing a core methodology of "Science, Education & Advocacy." This coalition of forward-thinking guides, business owners, and like-minded anglers has become a leader on management fronts for striped bass, false albacore, and redfish, as well as federal fisheries and data collection methodology.

ASGA is one community that believes in the value of fish in the water and intuitively understands that ocean resources are finite and need to be managed sustainably to better our lives and for future generations.
