Join us for an afternoon of pottery-making and hard cider with Dover Pottery Studio! Create your own berry basket while enjoying delicious cider (included!) in a friendly atmosphere. 

In this hands-on session, you’ll create your very own berry basket using a variety of clay construction techniques, texture tools, and decorations . This session is designed for all skill levels. After the session, our studio staff will glaze and fire your creations, making them ready for pick-up approximately four weeks after the workshop.

LezHang Seacoast is an intentional, grassroots social group for queer adults (18+) on the NH Seacoast. ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Taylor Readyhough is a Ph.D. candidate in the Wildlife Modeling and Monitoring Lab at UNH, where her work focuses on the community ecology of carnivores and their prey in urban ecosystems. Prior to coming to UNH, Taylor worked as an affiliate faculty member at Regis University (Denver, CO) in the biology and environmental science departments and as a behavioral research associate at Denver Zoo studying male Asian elephant social behaviors. Taylor is passionate about teaching and expanding her role as an educator beyond the classroom to increase community engagement and science outreach.

Christine Caputo is an associate professor of chemistry at UNH and the founder and director of Seacoast Sips of Science. She first learned about public science outreach as a postdoc in the U.K. and decided to bring the concept to the New Hampshire Seacoast. Her research focuses on creating hydrogen, a clean fuel, using sunlight and water — it's what we call a solar fuel!
