Alex is an artist, guide and owner of Western Maine Yurts. He guides the "Andro" for trout, smallmouth bass and northern pike, and is known as one of the most experienced smallmouth guides in central Maine. The Androscoggin is a fishery that offers a great fly-fishing experience beyond trout. As the summer water temps rise, the smallmouth fishery becomes active and is a great fly-fishing alternative to trout. This is a river where Lefty Kreh would fish often because of the trophy smallmouth that you find there. His Western Maine Yurts provide a glamping experience close to the river.
